User Provided Information – Standard Register collects all information you voluntarily provide to it through BrandSphere, including when you first create your BrandSphere account, when you register products, and when you request product information. This information generally includes: (i) your biographical information including name, physical address, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone number ("Personal Information"); (ii) transaction-related information, including information about and pictures of the specific products you purchase and register through BrandSphere and the dates and locations of your purchases ("Product Registration Information"); (iii) information you provide to Standard Register if you request information about a product or brand or you otherwise contact us for assistance; and (iv) precise location information. Account creation, including the provision of basic personally identifiable biographical information, is mandatory in order to be able to use the basic features of BrandSphere. Standard Register may use all User Provided Information in connection with BrandSphere, the development and operation of BrandSphere, market research related to BrandSphere, services directly related to BrandSphere, and to assist in the provision of third party services at your direction.
Automatically Collected Information – Standard Register may automatically collect and store certain data including the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device's unique device ID, your mobile telephone number (if applicable), the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser(s) you use, data on information and webpages you access or view within or via BrandSphere, information about frequency and duration of usage, and similar information. Standard Register may use all Automatically Collected Information in connection with BrandSphere, the development and operation of BrandSphere, market research related to BrandSphere, and services directly related to BrandSphere.
Precise Location Information – BrandSphere automatically collects GPS information from your mobile device when you send or receive information through BrandSphere; this "snapshot" information can reveal the precise location of your mobile device at the time of that particular communication. BrandSphere will use this information for location-enhanced BrandSphere features, such as identifying nearby locations for purchasing or servicing products. BrandSphere will also use this information, both in aggregate form and combined with User Provided Information and Automatically Collected Information, in connection with the development and operation of BrandSphere, market research related to BrandSphere, and detailed BrandSphere usage analyses. BrandSphere does not track or store your real-time location information.
Upon your registration of a product via BrandSphere, Standard Register will share your Personal Information and Product Registration Information with the manufacturer of the product you are registering, if the manufacturer is or becomes an affiliated brand of BrandSphere, for the purposes of: (i) facilitating the registration of the product, including for warranty purposes; (ii) providing and updating consumer information to the manufacturer for market research and other analytical purposes; and (iii) enabling the manufacturer and its affiliates to contact you to provide notices (including safety and recall notices), product information, and for marketing purposes. If you use BrandSphere to request product or brand information, such as instruction manuals or warranty information, Standard Register may share the information you submit as part of that information request to trusted third party service providers in order to locate and provide the requested information.
Standard Register may also disclose any collected information, including personally identifiable information, if: (1) the disclosure is necessary or useful to our provision of services; (2) we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, interests, or property; (3) we are acting in good faith to protect your safety or the safety of others, to investigate fraud, or to respond to a government request; (4) we believe in good faith the disclosure is required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, search warrant, court order, or similar legal or administrative process; and (5) a third party purchases or otherwise acquires BrandSphere, in which case your information will likely be among the assets transferred.
Standard Register may retain all collected information for as long as you have BrandSphere installed on your mobile device or have a BrandSphere user account, and for a reasonable time thereafter.
Standard Register employs physical, technical, and administrative procedures designed to safeguard and secure the information we collect through BrandSphere. These processes and procedures are intended to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure correct use of information. For example, we limit access to customers' personal information to our associates who we believe reasonably need to know that information in order to provide products, services, and support to our customers or in order to do their jobs. However, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we collect and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches and Standard Register cannot and does not guarantee that its security procedures will prevent unauthorized access to or disclosure of your information.
If you believe that BrandSphere contains information about you that needs to be updated or corrected, you can update that information by logging into BrandSphere and editing your profile information. You can also email us at SRCPrivacyPolicy@standardregister.com to seek assistance in correcting or updating your information.
You can change the collection of information through BrandSphere by editing your preferences in your profile. You can stop all collection of information through BrandSphere by uninstalling BrandSphere from your mobile device. You can delete User Provided Information by deleting your BrandSphere user account or by contacting us at SRCPrivacyPolicy@standardregister.com. You can stop all collection of your location information by changing the settings on your mobile device.
Under California’s "Shine the Light" law, California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family, or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year information about the customer information we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year (e.g., requests made in 2013 will receive information regarding 2012 sharing activities).
To obtain this information in connection with information collected through BrandSphere, please send an email message to SRCPrivacyPolicy@standardregister.com with "Request for California Privacy Information" on the subject line and in the body of your message. We will provide the requested information to you at your e-mail address in response.
Standard Register does not use BrandSphere to knowingly solicit data from or market to individuals under the age of 18. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided information to us through BrandSphere without their consent, he or she should contact us at SRCPrivacyPolicy@standardregister.com and we will delete such information within a reasonable time.
